Microsoft's Composite UI Application Block provides a framework for developing smart client line-of-business applications from best practices. The CAB framework addresses challenges of modularity, developer productivity, user experience consistency, and collaboration between developers and architects commonly found in smart client development. This session will provide an introduction to the common scenarios and goals addressed by CAB. Participants will explore the features of CAB that add value to any development team constrained by the complexities of building integrated desktop applications. Audience members will also have the opportunity to hear and discuss the experiences from one developer to another of building and releasing an enterprise LOB application built on CAB. Demonstrations will highlight simple, elegant solutions to some of the most common problems in smart client development.
