Code Camps are about the developer community at large. They are meant to be a place for developers to come and learn from their peers. Topics are always based on community interest and never determined by anyone other than the community.
Code Camps are always free for attendees.
Parking at the front of the building is limited. There is a parking garage on the back, feel free to park there.
A Code Camp is a **FREE** one-day .Net training event. It does not occur on a business day, is organized by the community for the community and it is free for attendees. There is absolutely no marketing in this event, the day is entirely devoted to training and the speakers are members of the same community.
Additional details about what a Code Camp is can be found here: http://www.bostondotnet.org/codecamp/default.aspx/CodeCamp/CodeCampManifesto.html
At this stage I want to find out if a Code Camp would be a welcome event in Dallas and get an idea for how successful it would be.
I have talked to a few friends that are as excited as I am about having a Code Camp in Dallas and are willing to help. But in order for a Code Camp to take place, not only do we need people behind it to organize it and to do the presentations, but also, people to attend the event.
For now the ball is rolling, the tracks we intend to cover at the Code Camp will be made available as they start taking shape as well as a date for the Code Camp (it will be on a Saturday). I will add more information as it becomes available please register on this site and I will keep you informed (won't send many emails, I promise). The first couple of communications may be via email so please make sure you add my email address (below) to your address list so that these emails don't get blocked. I will later on set up a forum or an RSS Feed so that you can subscribe to it if you want.
Know someone who you would like to learn from? Ask him or her if he/she would like to present at the Dallas Code Camp and point them to this site.
Use the form below to communicate with us, and if you'd like to be a volunteer, log in to this site and click on the Volunteering menu option.
Thank you!!
